Doesn't
it aggravate you that there is no stop to war in this world? I mean
every year you learn something new in socials class, but it ALWAYS
involves some kind of battle or war. I mean a little competition doesn't
hurt, but sometimes I think we take it WAY too far. I mean if we want
peace (which I am sure we all do) why can't we achieve it? We learn of
the fur trading wars between the HBC and NWC, there was the Battle Of
Seven Oaks, World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the war
between North Korea and South Korea. Every century there is more than 1
battle or war. History seems to repeat itself, and once we end one, a
new war is somehow created. Right now Iraq is still at war. I mean even
in religion class we learn the Just a War theory and all. But why can't
we achieve peace in this world and all come to a compromise? I know it's
just wishful thinking but if we put our minds to it, I am sure we could
achieve. I can't stand wars as much as I can't stand horror movies.
Sometimes
thinking about this is just sad. How people die, and we all lose
someone we love. War isn't always the solution, it may be the one
creating more problems than before. Why can't we all focus on world
hunger instead of this nonsense of a war? I mean look at those poor kids
in Africa! They are braver than all of us. They face hunger every day,
the possibility of death because of illnesses we can't cure, or
starvation. I mean if we all just stopped focusing on war, we can make
the world a better place. It's wishful thinking I know. But technology
has done a lot for us, and one day we will find a cure for cancer.
For
once we should just stop thinking about us, and think about others.
Mother Teresa had the right idea, and she did amazing things.
For once I just felt about writing something intellectual. I know it's wishful thinking, but we all are dreamers...
